One might not be aware of some other advantages of having sunlight for the homeowners. One thing for sure is that sunlight provides natural vitamin D which helps maintain the bones growth for children, and as for adults the biological clock arrangement. For those regions lacking of sunlight usually realize and seek for tropical places to get tanned and other refreshing activities.
If going abroad is constrained by your budget simply to get natural light, perhaps you can do minor changes or modification on your home:
1. Shower your home with the rays of sunlight by setting up skylights. They will enable the light to go down evenly reaching every corner of your rooms. You should allocate the place in such a way to maximize the beam during daylight.
2. Avoid using drapes with thick fabrics. Not only they are costly but also they are one kind that filters the rays of the sunlight. Depends on the function of the room and aesthetics, you can use blinds which control amount of rays that come indoors.
3. Trim your branches as to allow the rays piercing through the windows. Removing ornaments and patio furniture may also help to regain the light coming indoors.
4. Use thin films to cover your window glasses. Or, you can open the window in mornings and feel the morning breeze circulating the atmosphere inside your home. Regularly clean the windows with soft cloth and cleaning agent.
